The burp surprised even me. The cat flinched. Did the windows rattle for just a moment? I envisaged the neighbours three houses down pausing their doings to turn their ear toward this disconcerting sound, this distant roar in the key of Tyrannosaurus Rex coming to them from somewhere away in the wilderness ala Jurassic Park.
